I was interested to see that private registration number CEO 7 has come for sale for the first time.
Number plate CEO 1 sold on ebay for £154,100 just a few months ago. With 100+ bids, a lot of CEO’s will have been disappointed. So it stands to reason that number plate CEO 7 will attract some interest. Who could resist the lucky number 7?
The personal registration number has belonged to the current owner for almost 40 years. He got it when he bought a1950’s Morris Minor 1000 . And he’s kept the registration number ever since. It’s been on various different cars over the years, and has always attracted a lot of attention. Especially after the publicity for number plate CEO 1 in 2007.
It’s only in the past few years that the term Chief Executive Officer has been used, bringing some meaning to the letters CEO.
Some exclusive number plates are fetching 6-figure sums. The record was held by registration number M1 which sold in 2006 for £331,000. Until this week, that is – when number plate F1 sold for £440,000.
